Roll back or upgrade to Creative Cloud.

Apple has been warning the cut off of 32 bits apps for two years. In the future you should pay closer attention to these notices and never upgrade an operating system without considering the rest of your hardware and software.

You download InDesign CC onto your computer via the internet and use it in the usual way, i.e. you don't need a good connection to use it. You can subscribe to InDesign by the month, if you only use it occasionally.

If you can, roll back to Mojave instead of Catalina. Catalina will definitely break your 32 bit apps. We're holding at Catalina to get the most use out of our "older" but PERFECTLY functioning programs for as long as possible. CS5.5 and CS6.x will nearly if completely not work in Catalina. The line has been drawn.
