Applying a different paragraph style(PS) inside Text Box that already has a PS w/o changing TXT box

I have a text box that has a paragraph story applied to it. I would like to add a different paragraph story inside the same text box without changing the entire text box. In my case, I need the last line to have a different style. When I go and select the last sentence, apply the new paragraph story, it automatically changes the entire paragraph to the new paragraph story, even though I only have selected the last sentence. I am currently putting my cursor in front of my last sentance, pressing Enter, selecting the sentence, applying the new paragraph story, putting my cursor back in front of the last sentence, pressing Backspace.

How can I make this happen with out me doing extra work?
