New to GREP styles here. I was wondering if there was a way to utilize them to apply [] to all punctuation in my paragraph style.
For example, I used GREP styles to make all the numbers yellow and smaller in size. It would be great if every time I typed a colon : or a comma , open and closed brackets could be applied to them as shown in the example below. Is this possible?

you can't do it with grep style but with grep find-change

Okay thanks! And then would I need to run find/change every time I finished my formulas? I saved my Query so I can quickly pull it up again, but if there is any further way to automate that would be even better as I have 250 separate documents with these formulas.

You noted:
"It would be great if every time I typed a colon : or a comma , …"
Instead of typing a ":" play this keyboard shortcut associated to this simplistic script "Ctrl-:":
app.selection[0].contents = " + [:] + ";
This KS will type for you " + [:] + "!
