I am working on a document that needs multiple style, and I want to apply a drop cap to just one of the paragraphs in the doc. However, whenever I apply a drop cap to a single paragraph, it applies the drop cap to everysingle paragraph in the document. I only want it on one. I have already tried highlighting the selecting paragraph, double-clicking the paragraph, and watched tutorials. Help!
If I'm understanding your question...
That one drop cap paragraph needs a separate Paragraph Style with a drop cap.
In newsletters and magazines, sometimes you'll see just the first paragraph in a story will have a drop cap. What you could do is set up your body text styles and then set up a second style (based on the body text style) for the drop cap paragraphs.
Hope this helps.

Thanks for the reply!
I actually messed around with the paragraph panel and the paragraph style panel, and figured out a solution to my problem. I might try your tips as well in the future. Thanks 🙂
