I have an InDesign file in which the atserisk that appears on the tab to indicate an unsaved file goes away after saving (as it should), but then almost immediately reappears even though I have done nothing since saving.

So far, I have only seen this occur on this one file. I work with a lot of different docs and have never seen this before.

InDesign version 16.1 running on Windows 10.

I saw one similar post here but it was for Photoshop, not InDesign and the answer did not seem to apply to InDesign settings.

I am also having this issue as of yesterday. It also prompts me to save when exiting, even if I just saved a few seconds before. When I reopen the document, the * appears right away. Nothing appears to be lost, but the alert is concerning.

I saved my document as a copy and it seemed to 'solve' the issue.
