Automatic reference number

Hi,

I have a large document with many images. Those images have caption texts. Those texts have an numbered list number.

In the text there are references to those images/numbers i.e. 'See image 5-43'.

As soon as an image is added or removed the numbered list for the caption text automatically changes.

Is it possible to link the caption number to the number in the text and have that also automatically update?
