I searched the forum and couldn't find an answer to this.
I'm creating a technical how-to book.
In it, I have paragraphs of code (code block). I created a paragraph style, used paragraph background and paragraph border to be able to create a background and offset of the code block. That's easy.
But... 🙂
I have some inline text that I want to mark as code. Light grey box "background" for a word or two in that sentence that's not part of the code block. Just normal text. I created a character profile for the particular word(s). But, it doesn't have an option for background shading like the paragraph style does. I have searched through the menus and I can't find a way to give a few words a background color.
I'm sure it's right in front of my face but...I need someone to point it out for me.
Thanks for your time.

Thank you! That did the trick! I would never have tried that. Thanks again!
