I am new to Indesign. I am trying to print a book. Anyone have any suggestions on an easy way to get started?

Do you mean using the Print Booklet function? Or preparing a file for a commerical offset or digital printer?

Does the booklet limit the amount of pages

Here are some things to keep in mind:
- page count needs to be divisible by four: 4, 8, 12, 16, 20, etc.
- if there are pages with no content, place a white frame on these pages.
- you will need to configure settings in 3 areas:
