Hi,
I want to create and use bookmarks ("Lesezeichen") to navigate faster within my double-sided document. But after a double-click on one bookmark – which I created without a selected object – the left page is centered instead of the two pages:
Is there another option etc.?
thanks!

When you create a PDF it is possible to "glue" the left and right pages of a spread together by choosing the Export As > Spreads option within the General tab of the Export Adobe PDF dialog box. Could that work or do you need the left and right pages to be separate?
For the record, never export as spreads when creating a PDF for professional printing unless a specialised situation requires it.

Thanks for your reply.
But I mean the view in InDesign, not within a PDF.
I have a document with about 100 pages and several chapters. To navigate faster I want to use bookmarks (German: "Lesezeichen") to jump to these chapters. In this view ...
... I create a chapter bookmark. But when I double-click this bookmark the left page is centered (s. my screenshot in my inital post). Therefore I have to press ctrg-alt-0 to view the whole double-side. It's a step too much ...
Any way to force the desired behavior?
Thanks again!

Hi mycc,
this extra step is necessary, because a bookmark done in the GUI will target a page and not a spread or a distinct page view.
Maybe a custom script could be written? But prepare to pay for this.

... and there is no other option (with)in InDesign?

Writing a custom script would be an option.
But would you like to pay for this?

Maybe I could do it myself - if I had the money to pay myself 😉
