I downloaded and installed InDesign 16.0.1 back in October.
I have the Adobe Font family Proxima Nova activated and only one--Regular-- does not appear active for InDesign in a document that has it. The Proxima Nova Regular text has the rose bar thru it and in the character fonts list, Regular is missing. Regular is, however, still listed as active on Adobe Fonts in my account.
I also notice in Windows 10 Task Manager that InDesign is not 'running' as an app in the Task Manager under the name Adobe or InDesign while it is running on my system, however.
To test, I uninstalled InDesign 16.0.1 and then waited a day and reinstalled. Same issue.
Do you have a another version of Proxima Nova Regular installed?
I have this font currently activated through CC and can see it in the Indesign font menu.

I thank you so much for this. I was having trouble with Proxima Nova Regular in Word so installed another version to use there.
When I uninstalled all copies, VOILA! Like magic, the font works and the program now appears in the Task Manager. That was weird itself...
Many thanks for your assistance on this!

Hi- sorry, as I am a beginner with indesign. I am having the same issue with Proxima Nova. I have been working on a document for weeks and today I opened it and it said the Poxima Nova fonts were missing. What steps do I need to take to resolve? Thanks in advance!
