List Type: Numbers

Format: 1, 2, 3, 4...

Number: [#]^t

Mode: Continue from Previous

AND.....

Inserted at the beginning each paragraph  [#] with a tab following and then text, with no numbers. What gives?

Okay, this "fun" one is resolved.  First, the chapter option needed to be selected from the solid right arrow to the right of the "Number:" That produced the running numbers in the document, however there were many before.  Then, another numbered list was established for another paragraph style, so, each was assigned a new name and the issue cleared up.  Only question now is how to place some zeroes prior to the number, say one or two, such as:

[010

or ideally

[001]

So that when the count gets into the tens and hundreds its look like:

[10]

or

[100].

"My" method is the normal, common method.

Create a paragraph style. Settings like in my first screenshot. Apply this paragraph style to your text.
