Hello everyone,
I have a logo that was made in Adobe Illustrator. I imported the logo to Indesign and I am trying to create a Spot Uv. For some reason, I can't find the Fill option under appearances for some reason. Can anyone help me out?
Thank you very much in advance,
"Would InDesign recognise that this is spot uv?"
Of course. The new spot color will be visible in InDesign's Swatches panel.
And an exported PDF will export it as spot ink if you do not convert the spot to CMYK..

Hi Osama5D50,
best do the shape of the spot Uv in Adobe Illustrator.
Fill the shape with the spot color and set the fill to overprint.
Do this all in Adobe Illustrator.
If you have Adobe Illustrator related questions best ask them here:

Also post some screenshots of your artwork in Illustrator and mark the area of the logo that should be filled with that spot color.
Thanks,

Hello Laubender,
I can't just use Illustrator, since what I need to make needs to be done in InDesign. Or do you mean, do the logo as spot uv in illustrator and then import it to InDesign? Would InDesign recognise that this is spot uv?
Thank you

Hi,
Can you confirm that you used: File > Place... and selected the .ai file?
Did you select a shape created in InDesign? or are you trying to edit the illustrator file in InDesign?
Please include a screenshot if you can to help us understand better what you are trying to accomplish?

Hello Eric,
Yes I did use the File > Place and selected the ai file. The file was created in AI and not in InDesign, but I want to use it in InDesign.
Here is a screenshot of the logo (the logo has been cut off the text is part of the file and also needs to be spot uv) as you can see there is no fill option.
Thank you
