I canceled my Indesign CC subscription because the app lags constantly and went to go back to Indesign CS6 but now it won't launch because I don't have a subscription. How do I fix this? It's obviously very tedious.
Try using the Creative Cloud Cleaner Tool before reinstalling InDesign CS6:

Uninstall and reinstall InDesign CS6 using your original serial number.

All I see in /Applications/Utilities/Adobe Installers is:
Adobe Creative Suite 6 Master Collection
Uninstall Adobe Bridge CC 2018
Uninstall Adobe Creative Cloud
Uninstall Adobe Illustrator CC 2018
Uninstall Adobe Lightroom Classic CC
Uninstall Adobe Photoshop CC 2017
Uninstall Adobe Photoshop CC 2018
No ID CS6 uninstaller

well I have Photoshop CC 2018 installed so I need that to keep functioning. Does that break it if I run the cleaner tool?

I don’t know. You can always reinstall Photoshop CC after you have InDesign working.
