Hello !

I 'm trying to update links to a PDF files with multiple pages, and when i do, the error message on teh picture appears. I have the 2021 version.

I modified a pdf file by "saving as " the original in the links folder of the package file.

It says " the file has layers different from the imported version. The link will be updated with the current source file settings."

I have to click ok many times to stop it from appearing but the links are not updated.

Thank you for your help 😕

Select the PDF in the layout and check the Object Layer Options dialog. If you are not controling the layer visibility via InDesign try setting When Updating Link to Use PDF’s Visibility.

Hi Rob day,

Thank you for your answer.

AFter few times, i understood that the person worked with different PDF files as links from previous versions, and not just the one that should been use for the file. So there were multiple link documents and not just one...that's why it didin't showed any modifications... : /

Cheers

I modified a pdf file by "saving as " the original in the links folder of the package file

Bonjour,

Estelle J.
