Cannot open any .indd files

Hi there,

Really hoing for some help.

I cannot open any InDesign files as I keep getting the error message saying "This file is already open by another user or another application. This file may be stored on a network server and cannot be opened until the other user closes it."

I am running InDesign 2021 CC, Mac OS Big Sur 11.3, all files are stored locally on my hard drive, nobody else has access to my adobe CC account, nor is anybody else accessing them.

I have uninstalled and reinstalled all Adobe products including Creative Cloud.

Please somebody help. I have work files I need to access and I'm at a complete loss.

I have also deleted InDesign preferences using Shift+Option+Command+Control when starting the application
