Hello,

is it possible to realise the following feature in an interactive PDF form created and designed in InDesign - When the user enters a text in a texfield, the color of the textbox should change to red. Is there a method how i could implement this or get somehow to an useful solution? this should work in an finished PDF form in Adobe Acrobat Reader DC.

Thanks!

This all said, also look into the InDesign script FormMaker Pro by Timothy Ariel Walden:

I did not check, but maybe you can find all the functionality there.

Hi Heimo,

the answer is "no".

Do that with Acrobat Pro DC and (perhaps) some JavaScript code.

To make that work for a customer the customer must explicitly allow the execution of JavaScript from Adobe Reader's Preferences.

For JavaScript code that does what you want see or ask in the Acrobat forum. You may hire a scripter for that.

FWIW: This all can only work with Adobe Reader on Mac OS X or Windows.

Not with Adobe Reader ( or other PDF Reader software ) on mobile devices or tablets.
