I am trying to increase bleeds on an existing catalog. All of the document setup was done initially with no bleeds - now I want to re-do with 1/4" bleeds.
Can some one tell me if and how I can do this? BTW - it's CS3.
Thanks for any input/ advice.

Tacking on to this question, what is the difference between setting the bleeds in the Document Setup vs. doing it when exporting the document to PDF. You have an option to chose bleeds then also, but I'm not sure which I should be using.
I apologize if this is an obvious question, but I'm a fairly new user. I'm on CS4.
Thanks,
Melissa

not a lot of difference, really, except if you set them in document setup you get a nice guide to use around your page, and you can check the "use document bleed settings" box in the export or print dialog.

If you don't add bleed to the document in the Document Properties, checking use document bleed settings when you export a PDF won't do anything, even if you do have objects bleeding off the page.

Hi
I am only able to increase my bleed to 0,6m and I want to get to 100m. How can I achieve this?

As this is a 10 year old thread, I suggest you start a new thread.
Also state your version of InDesign and OS.
A four inch bleed seems like overkill to me, how did that request come about?
