Is it possible to share an Indesign document so that 2 people (1 text editor and 1 designer) can work on the same document on separate computers? We have been passing files back and forward but it is very slow as we are working on a book project and just wondered if there is another way to work simultaneously.
You might also consider breaking up the project into logical pieces. These pieces can be worked on independently. InDesign's Book feature can then be employed to sync and reconstitute the pieces into one final PDF for publication. Lots of info out there on how to use the Book feature.
if you make a separate indesign file for each chapter and work with the book panel, that works great with no need for incopy. I work with 4 editors and another designer. We use this workflow for jobs.
