Hi,
I have a strange issue occuring. I am not new to the program and have been using this technique for years but as of this week it is acting strange.
I am trying to modify colors in InDesign. I have a logo placed into the document and am using the eye dropper to select a brown color for another object. After selecting the color with the dropper I am adding 10% K in the color picker. After adding the black the color is no longer brown it turns to green. However, when opening the color picker it shows the darker brown color as the current color. I have the same issue when trying to change gray colors but they turn red. If I change any CMY values it will stay brown. Any ideas on why this is happening or how to fix it? I am going crazy trying to work around it.
Hm…
I wonder if this could be a side effect of a bug that is turning off your color management in InDesign.
Please check, if the setting is now "Emulate Adobe InDesign 2.0 CMS Off". It's a severe bug for Mac OS users only as far as I can tell. If this is the case and you recently updated InDesign, PhotoShop or Adobe Bridge and if you are on Mac OS you could try to solve the issue following the steps below:
[1] Restart your machine without starting any Adobe app.
[2] Remove the following file:

Thank you! You were correct. Somehow my color settings must have changed with the last update and was reset to "Emulate Adobe InDesign 2.0 CMF OFF" which we always set to custom and use GRACOL. Changing this setting has fixed the incorrect colors in general. Hopefully it will somehow also correct all of the other color issues I have been experiencing.
