Hi,

I've been dealing with this critical bug for 3 days now: InDesign won't get past the initial start screen before immediately crashing.

I've read and done all the suggested steps in troubleshooting, and this is what I've tried without any progress:

  1. Uninstall program, reinstall (v16.01, but also tried installing 16.0 again). Neither work.
  2. Delete Adobe InDesign preferences from ~/Library
  3. Clear font cache
  4. Font Book validating fonts (no issues were found)
  5. Complete disk utility mantainance (no issues were found through First Aid)

At this point I have no idea what triggered it, and can't get it to start. The hard part is I can't work without InDesign.

Please help at your earliest convenience? Have submitted a lot of tickets through the Crash Report and have not heard back.

Thanks,

—A

That's the tool for reinstalling as conventional reinstalls don't clear out old files.
