This seems to happen when scrolling to certain pages on a large document but can't pinpoint it to that.

Here is the problem report.

Thanks

That version of InDesign is about eight years old and is not compatible with recent OS versions.

Consider upgrading to InDesign CC (particularly if InDesign is mission critical for your work).

Hi Michael,

is exporting to IDML working? Could you open the IDML and navigate without a crash?

Maybe some of your pages went corrupt?
Your InDesign document may be damaged.

Regards,

Uwe

Thanks, I have exported to IDML and it seems to run fine from what I can tell.

Have you tried trashing both your Preference and Caches folders, and disabling any third party plugins? Also older versions of ID want the legacy version of Java, see this Apple page for the download

Thanks for the heads-up, I've ensured that verison of Java is installed and will test reseting Preferences etc.

No luck so far but the crashes are certainly intermittent.

Hi Michael,

I am sorry to hear about this. As CS5 was released 8 years ago, I'm afraid that it has been discontinued and is no longer compatible with today's operating systems. Attempts to troubleshoot the install could result in it becoming unusable. We strongly recommend upgrading your software to a newer version that is supported or downgrade the OS (System requirements | Older versions of InDesign  ). I apologize for the frustration. Please let me know if you have any questions.

Regards,

Srishti
