Data merge file shows values instead of variables once open

Hello,

I am working on a data merge template on InDesign but when I open the file it shows the values of an old version insteead of the variables corresponding to those values. How can I correct this?

Hi AGualtieri,

you can correct this by loading your new data source to the Data Merge Panel ( remove the old one first ), then remove the wrong fields or values from your texts on the page and add the new fields from the data source to your text.

 

I assume here that you are using text sources only and not image sources or QR code sources.
