I have lost my job due to the Covid outbreak. I am looking to reduce my debt load to make room for essentials. I am currently a subscriber to InDesign and was looking to cancel my subscription (monthly, one year term) until a time when I get back to being employed and then renew it. However, as per the contract there is $45 US charge to end the commitment early. I'm wondering if Adobe has enacted any plans to help people in need during this time to delay payments of monthly services, or at least waive the cancellation fee at this time.

The forums are (mainly) user-to-user support. You would have to contact Adobe customer support but the policy still on the website is you pay 50% of your remaining balance. Good luck.

You can contact customer support using this link: https://helpx.adobe.com/contact.html. There is a small round chat icon in the lower right corner of the window to intitiate a chat with customer support.

It's a case-by-case basis, depending on the reason. See the threads in "Get Started" and the Back Room. This is not new for coronavirus, btw.
