Document Preset details not showing up

I'm running the latest operating system on mac and have ht emost updated version of indesign but just recently I started getting this "throw-back" window when I go to make a new indesgn document. It's Bizzare! I think this may have been a window from pre-cloud version? Any ideas? I restarted my computer and nothing.

That's called the Legacy New Document dialog.

Go to Preferences > General, and Uncheck "Use Legacy New Document dialog"

I find the legacy "New Document" dialog more attractive than the "new" one.

Both should provide the same functionality. The legacy one is more compact and very easy to navigate and shows a better overview, I think. But that's just me perhaps…

Yes, the new one should be a bit more compact and do all the small details the old one did, including all the math possible in the fields!
