Don't want animated item on downloaded PDF after publish online

I created an animated document (InDesign) and published online.

It is footprints walking into the document.  They are set to "hide" after animation and all works exactly as I want.  However, if someone were to download the PDF, the "hidden" animation shows in the PDF – over the top of my text.

Is there anyway to have the hidden animaion not appear in the downlaoded PDF?

Here's a link to the published document....

For anyone who might be interested, I found a work-around.  I added an 85% transparent white background to my text frames, had them fade in after the boot prints and now the bootprints show as faded behind the text frames.

If any Adobe folks are reading, form a design standpoint, it would be nice if there was an option to select what items appear in the downlaoded PDF.
