Editing text in large tables is painfully slow in InDesign. Typing a word leads to a slow character-by-character attempt by the program to keep up. Hitting tab to go to the next cell often skips a cell, thus advancing two cells. The program generally functions well overall, but becomes nearly unusable when dealing with large tables which I do frequently.
I have a newer MacBook Pro that runs other "power" programs with ease. Display Performance is on "Fast".
Screen recording attached for reference. I am rapidly hitting "delete" or "backspace" several times to erase a particular word, and that shows in realtime how long it takes to accomplish this.
Thanks.
Why would you set the display performance to "fast" which means to refrain from showing the pictures? That is never going to help you. Here are some things to try:

Thanks for the link. It seems like the GPU Acceleration was the culprit. And the "fast" display was a means of troubleshooting the issue, not what I typically work in. Thanks again.
