Hi there,

We're so sorry for the trouble. I would request if you can try the steps shared in the discussion below:

https://community.adobe.com/t5/indesign/indesign-2018-library-either-the-file-does-not-exist-you-do-...

In case if you are still facing the issue, I would request if you can share a few more details like:

  1. The exact version of InDesign and the Operating System.
  2. Is this happening with a specific file? Could you please try placing the same asset on a different InDesign file just to test?

Regards

Rishabh

Thanks for sharing the details. I'd recommend resetting InDesign Preferences by following the steps shared below:

  • Close all Adobe applications.
  • Go to Locations :
  • C:\Users\user\AppData\Roaming\Adobe
  • C:\Users\user\AppData\Local\Adobe.
  •  Rename InDesign folders to InDesign.old
  • Launch InDesign from CC.

Disclaimer: Please note that resetting preferences will remove all the custom settings and InDesign will launch with default settings. This way all your old settings will be saved in .old folders and InDesign will recreate new folders with default settings.

Let us know if it works or if you need any further assistance.
