Embedded HTML content with Publish Online

I'm in the process of putting together an interactive document which needs to be viewable in China. As far as I can tell, indd.adobe.com (the URL for Publish Online documents) works in China, so this could be an option.

However, I'm struggling to get any embedded video content from anywhere other than Youtube or Vimeo to work. Youtube and Vimeo are both blocked in China, so aren't going to work for this document. There are some Chinese equivalents, such as Youku, but these don't seem to be allowed by Adobe.

When uploading a document with HTML content in it, there is a warning which says "Document contains embedded HTML content. Publish Online will support embedded HTML content from select websites only." To save me a lot of trial and error, is there a list anywhere of these select websites?

Thanks!

Have a look at the InDesign plug-in in5 (at extra cost): https://ajarproductions.com/pages/products/in5/

It may suit your purposes perfectly.

Thanks Derek,

Thanks for the link to in5, that could be an option further down the line if I can't get publish online working.

Incidently, if it weren't for the bug where videos don't load correctly in Publish Online documents when viewed in Safari, I could include the video content without the need for a third party video platform. This bug has been reported (https://indesign.uservoice.com/forums/601180-adobe-indesign-bugs/suggestions/40955416-publish-online...) but there's no fix or workaround as of yet unfortunately.
