I have my text linked to a Word Doc which originally was footnotes. I want to convert them to Endnotes. I have done this by trying 1. just converting them in Work to endnotes and 2. keeping them as footnotes and then converting them in InDesign. When I've tried both these methods the Endnotes disappear.... I just cant find them anywhere... any advice??

Hi Melissa,

check the Word Import Options of InDesign when you place a Word document.

The handling of endnotes is an option.

The other thing: Do I get this right, you converted footnotes to endnotes in InDesign and you ended up with no notes at all?
No footnotes, no endnotes? I'd like to see and test a document like that; before you converted the footnotes to endnotes in InDesign.

Could you save your InDesign document to Dropbox or a similar service and post the download link?

Thanks,
Uwe Laubender
