I created a reflowable epub - epub 3 - from ID2020- windows 10
all seems to work except that the las t line of each paragh has teh closing punctuation followed by the text - so in other words - teh punctuation comes before teh text on teh last line of a paragraph. most of my paragraphs are a simple body text style - justified - last line flush left.
Could be a character formatting issue with property character direction.
Select the dot at the end of a paragraph.
Do you see an override of the applied paragraph style?
Should be visible as + at the name of the paragraph style in the Paragraph Styles Panel.
If not, how is the paragraph style defined?
Can you show the overview of the style?

I have discovered teh culprit - in teh css the following is added
<div id="_idContainer095" class="_idGenObjectStyleOverride-1" dir="ltr">
<p class="chapter-title ParaOverride-1" dir="ltr">
when I change dir="ltr" to dir="rtl" it fixes the problem
But where is this coming from? - I have checked that it is using adobe paragraph composer [not world-ready - which reverses.]

Thak you for pointing me on the path to findign the problem. The culprit is Dan Rodney's widofix javascript which fixes "widows" - actually runts at the paragraph's end. [see capture2.jpg] I used this for the print edition and ran his widowfixremover script afterwards prior to preparign the epub. I thougth that the script was totally removed but evidently it has residual remains .
I know now never to use that script again in any publication intended for epub/kindle.
to recap the problem:
I’m thinking that the remove does not totally undo the damage done for text direction.
