Hi everyone,
I'm pretty novice at InDesign so I can't seem to figure this one out for myself nor can I find any relevant answers online. I've been using InDesign (Mac) for about 2 years working in a document that's 288px by 288px and have been exporting the png to 2400px squared no problem. At work we installed InDesign on the PC (using a different account) and when I open my working file, export to png, is comes out the same as original file size (288px squared) as expected but I can't seem to figure out how I got to export to 2400px in the first place! Please help.
If you set your Ruler Units to Inches, you’ll see that the page dimension is 4" x "4. In order to export the 4" x 4" page to a 2400 x 2400 pixel dimension, the Export dialog’s Resolution setting would have to be 600ppi—2400/4=600.

What happens on the PC when you Export > PNG?
You should get the same dialog as on Mac, which allows you to change the resolution. Is that dialog not showing up?

Hi there,
Thanks for reaching out. In addition to great responses given earlier, I'd request checking out this help article about exporting page items as JPEG or PNG from InDesignSecrets.
Hope it helps.

Ashutosh
