Hallo,

Gerd

Hi there,

Sorry to hear about the trouble you are facing with InDesign. I would request if you can share a few more details like:

  1. Where are the linked files saved? Are they saved locally or on any network drive or shared drive?
  2. Is this happening with this specific file or with any files?

We're here to help, just need more information.

Regards

Rishabh

Dear Rishabh,

the linked files are on a networkdrive and the user have all full access to the drive.
This happen with all files which we get from a marketing Company.
We get the Files an e.g we replace Pictures on a catalog page. Than we will pack the Page an we get than the errormessage

as descriped.
The Marketing company works with Indesign on a Macd and we using indesign on a Windows maschine.

If the user create a new indesign document and place the Pictures and the text on it, it works finde and the Dockument can be packed.

With best regards

Gerd

Thanks for confirming. As Mario suggested, please check the Link Panel if there is any broken link. You can also check with the user if the network drive on which the file folders are available is synched. If this doesn't work, you can contact us directly at http://helpx.adobe.com/contact.html so that we can check at the system level by taking a remote session.

Dear Rishabh,

I´ve got the same problem. (ID 15.0.1 x64, Windows)

There are a lot of placed licensed Adobe Stock pictures in the link panel with a cloud-icon.
I can´t even copy these files to a local folder by "Hilfsprogramme/Verknüpfungen kopieren nach" in the context menue of the link panel. -> "Kopieren von Verknüpfungen in einen Ordner fehlgeschlagen".

Is there an easy way to save a lot of licensed files from the CC librarie (cloud) to a local folder?

Best regards,

Ingo

Hi Ingo,

Thanks for reaching out. If I get it, the CC Library(Cloud) that you are referring to is the Adobe Stock library? If yes, then in order to save the files locally, you will need to download the images from Adobe Stock Library to your computer and then relink the files again. Let us know if this helps or if you need any further assistance.

Rishabh

Hi Rishabh,

ok. There are about 120 licensed images in the library. Is there a way to download the images all at once?

I don`t understand the workflow. I can place a lot of layout images from Adobe Stock but I can´t license the images at once and I can´t package the file or download the images at once?

Best regards,

Ingo

PS: Seems i didn´t get any notification of your answer.

Hallo Ingo,

Adobe Stock divers/Trinidad, Cuba: Aerial view of the former Saint Francis of Assisi Convent
Also statt Dateiname die Bildbeschreibung.

The reason why InDesign is not able to Package the specific file is because the Stock File- #228974221 contains special Character (!/) in its name which InDesign is not able to read and is throwing the error.

As a workaround you can change the name of Stock Image and retry Package, it should work.
