File does not exist or you do not haver permission Indesign 2020

 I don't have it open anywhere else. Obviously I have restarted everything. What else can I do?

What kind of file, and indd doc or something you are tyring to place? Check the file's permissions. Is it on a shared server in which another user may have access? Is it in a read-only folder?

I think you've inadvertently deleted the file or maybe saved it to an external device that's not now plugged in.
