File path missing

Annoying new fearure in InDesign. Once you have opened a file on InDesing, have edited it and then close it, it asks do you want to save. Naturally I do, but the programme has forgotten the file path, so I have to navigate the myself. This was not the case on previous version. Also the InDesign icons have gone missing in resource management, as well as other Adobe CC icons. They are blank white...

This is a 2-part question:

1. After a major release, the document file format is updated from earlier versions. The first time you open a file created in an earlier version, it will show the word "Converted" next to the file name. At that point, Save and Save as behave the same way—you need to choose a file name and a location. This is a safeguard to protect you from inadvertently converting an old version file to a new version file, in case you decide to return to the previous version. This has been in place for years. 
2. This sounds like a file association issue. Reinstalling will likely fix it, but you can also follow your operating systems instructions to reset the file associations.
