Ideas for fonts, please.

I am creating a book to be published (not an ebook) and need two different fonts that are complimentary but different at a glance.

It is for body text with footnotes (so superscript numbers need to be clear) and newspaper articles which can be quite long. I want the reader to be able to distinguish between the text and articles without trouble AND I would like the articles to be more condensed - they take up a gawd awful amount of space.

Draft was done with Times New Roman and Myriad Pro Condensed. Love the condensing of Myriad Pro but it is hard to read on paper.

Minion Pro, Garamond Pro are both beautiful fonts for body copy. Minion comes with a Condensed style, too. Both fonts include very extensive character and OpenType alternates like Ordinals, Small Caps, and more. A safe bet for heads and subheads would be a san serif like Gotham, Akzidenz Grotesk, or even Myriad.
