Hi all,
I have a font named "Helvetica (T1) Medium Condensed". The font works fine (inDesign does not report it missing), however, the font does not show up in my font list.

The font is installed in both Windows>Fonts and in Adobe>inDesign>Fonts. inDesign is using the one installed in the Adobe folder. If I remove it from there, the font doesn't work at all (shouldn't it be enough that it is installed under Windows?)

Screenshot showing the "Find Font" info: https://prnt.sc/uvg2oy

The list of fonts where it does not show up: https://prnt.sc/uvg2wn (as you can see, "Medium Condensed" is showing as picked, but does not appear in the list).

Any help is appreciated.

Does this happen in all documents, or just in one document?

If in just one document, there could be corruption in the document. Saving as IDML and reopening may fix the problem.

If in all documents you try, try restoring your InDesign preferences:

Set preferences in Adobe InDesign - Adobe Supporthelpx.adobe.com › user-guide.html › indesign › usin...

All documents.

I seem to have found the font under a different name. Rather than "Helvetica (T1) > Medium Condensed" I can find it under "Helvetica Condensed > Medium".

It's odd, because looking in the Windows Fonts (in Settings), I can't even find this "Medium Condensed", and it is indeed supposed to be part of simply "Helvetica": https://prnt.sc/uvweg8

The font is named the same in Illustrator. In Photoshop though I can't find it (might be hiding under a 3rd different name???)
