Hi, completely new to indexing.

I've created the topic list, based on a handwritten list provided by client. I now want generate a list of "empty", unallocated topics to help me and my client do the actual referencing.

You need to have index entries to generate an actual list, but you can see just your topics in the Reference list if you choose Show Unused Topics from the Index panel menu in Reference mode.

Thank you, I know how to see the list of topics from within InDesign, but I was hoping to generate a topics list to send to my client.
