Gifs only play when top most object

Hi there,

I'm currently working on an online publishable document that requires multiple gifs (often overlayed on each other). However, only the top most gif plays on any given page. If the gif is under anything (text, picture, etc) it is frozen on the first frame. Any help? I've seen this done before, so I know it's possible.

To add to this, things work perfectly in the EPUB preview. It's literally just on export.
