Grep/ Find bullet characters

What I want to do is to remove every instance of a specified bullet character. Because If I only replace the text, the empty bullet character will still remain.

According to how I think, all I would have to do is find:

^8Vann

replace with nothingl. But when I try this I find no result. In fact I cant find bullet characters at all this way,  even if I dont search for text.

I also tried grep ~8, still no results.

Do you have any advice?

I solved it myself.

What I did was to grep "any whitespace" \s. I got to hung up on the bullet character.
