Hi All,

In XML based workflow content of InDesign document gets updated when we import the xml.

This workflow works fine with text content and local images (images on users machine) but does not works if images is on http/ftp server.

Can someone help me to write a solution for it.

Regards,

Alam

Indeed, http/ftp links won't work by default with inDesign. There was once a commercial plugin that would allow such links but it seems discontinued.

So far your option is either to develop your own postprocessing script that would manage external files (ie downloading and updating images) or to use commercial plugins that supports external linking.

Let me contact you in private, I may have something to suggest.
