How to remove alternative layer tool from page tool

Hi Johnny,

you can change the view in the Pages Panel to "Horizontal" or "Vertical" instead of "Alternate Layout".

From my German InDesign on Windows 10:

FWIW: Every InDesign document has at least one "Alternate Layout".
