Hi, the PDF I'm working on has a link to a website that works on desktop and mobile when sent by email but when sent by text it doesn't open the website on mobile. After searching the problem I found multiple answers to a similar problem where it was not a true link but the adobe program recognized it anyway but this is not the problem I am having if I open the pdf in acrobat and click view weblinks it shows the full URL. Any help would be appreciated.
Did you set up the hyperlink in the hyperlin panel? Window > Interactive > Hyperlinks
Only Acrobat supports all PDF functionality, all other PDF readers support PDFs only partial. If you have a problem with a specific reader, you should turn to their developers.
If Acroabt detects hyperlinks auotmaitically if no hyperlink is set up as mentioned in 1, it is set up in its preferences.
