I don't want Preflight on when I open a document

I'm designing a book with over 1,000 images, so I have to keep Preflight off during the design process. Is there a way to change the default setting that causes Preflight to be on when I open the document, so I don't have to shut it off every time?

If you uncheck "Enable Preflight for All Documents" then it will be off for any documents you open after. You could also try setting a new workspace with it off.
