Hi hi, has anyone been running indesign and illustrator on the new iMac? I'm not sure if I should get one of these or fork out a fair bit more for the new macbook pro 16inch when they come out later in year?

Cheers

At the moment the Mac M1 chip does not meet minimum system requirements for InDesign and Illustrator.

https://helpx.adobe.com/download-install/kb/apple-silicon-m1-chip.html

It emulates the applications using Rosetta 2 - which have mixed results for users.

InDesign and Illustrator System Specs are noted here:

https://helpx.adobe.com/indesign/system-requirements.html

Min requirements for Mac Os is an Multiprocessor Intel

Illustrator
https://helpx.adobe.com/in/illustrator/user-guide.html/in/illustrator/system-requirements.ug.html

Both require Intel processors - at the moment.

There are pre-release/beta applications - but nothing officially supporting the new Mac M1 chip.
