I'm trying to run the ImageCatalog.applescript in any version of InDesign (CS6 through CC2019) but the script fail on

"set myGraphic to place (myFile as string)". It's the "Adobe InDesign CC 2017 got an error: dosen't understand the 'place' message."

All links to the old solutions have been broken.  Is there a way to see or search the old Forum postings?

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

Hi Packrat,

instead of using the AppleScript version of the script you could try the JavaScript version ImageCatalog.jsx that should come with every installation of InDesign.

Is there a way to search the old Forum's DB to find the answers to all the questions that have already been answered?

Hi Packrat,

the answer is, unfortunately, no.

All threads in Adobe InDesign and Adobe InDesign Scripting forums before November 2016 are not available anymore.

All threads and replies from August 22, 2019 and September 12, 2019 can still be searched and only when found can be seen in the old Jive forums. When logged in to the new forum start here: https://forums.adobe.com/inbox to find threads that are still available.

FWIW: I cannot tell how long that will be possible.

Uwe Laubender

Thank you for taking the time to the answer. It is unfortunate to lose access to all that knowledge.
