When I have a frame selected and import an image (OS X) the image is placed in the frame immediately. However, a colleague of mine has the problem on his new iMac that images are always loaded in the cursor and he has to click with the loaded cursor on the frame to get the image into it. There must be some setting he has changed to get this odd behaviour...? What setting does he have to change in order to load images into a frame directly?

Good one.

When you import am image you get three options at the bottom of the window:

- Show import options

- Replace Selected Item

- Create Static Captions

My colleague had the second option, Replace Selected Item, turned off for some odd reason. Enable this option to place images directly into a frame. The term 'Replace' is a bit misleading here because this option isn't only about replacing what's there: this option also behaves differently when a frame is still empty when you try to import something into it.
