Importing Word doc with SVGs

I am running into an issue when importing a Word file with an SVG in it. Everything imports but the images are importing as PNG files instead of SVG.  I assume this is a limitation with InDesign's SVG support today but it would be great if I could get confirmation.

I am using InDesign 15.1.1 and Word build 13001.20266 (Office 365)

InDesign places SVG nowadays, but that is the Place (image) command. You can always rename that docx to .zip; unzip it; and go find the svg in a subfolder.
