InDesign 16.2.1 crashed and now it won't open the document as it's 'damaged'

Happily working on a document I created from scratch in InDesign 16.2.1 (and have been working on all week), changed some punctuation and then InDesign crashed. It won't open/save the recovery file - it just keeps crashing. When I try to open the original file it says it is damaged. It opens up other files OK. I tried copying, renaming and opening but same problem. The worrying thing is it won't open back-ups of the same file made today (4 back-ups made throughout the day). It says 'don't have permission/file might be open'. The earliest back-up I can open is from 2 days ago ...

The file is 45MB with a fair few image links, but not the largest/most linked file I've worked in InDesign.

Any suggestions ...???

What OS? Any backups?

Not sure about Mac- unless you're running time machine.

There's an email link at the bottom to send any corrupt files.

Try dividing the document in half and see if one half opens and the other half doesn't. If so divide the half that won't open in half again and keep dividing until you (hopefully) isolate the issue, which may be a font corruption issue.
