Good morning,

when i try to open a file in InDesign it's crashing. I read now the last 2 days and tried to solve the problem. I aleady re-installed InDesgin, cleared the cache, upgraded my graphic software and did all other steps to fix the problem. Maybe the file is corrupt and i want to know if i can fix the file. I almost worked 2 days on this project.

That is the error-message: https://pastebin.com/6pr9H4u4

I hope that someone can help me to find a solution.

Thanks in advance

Sincerely

Try the Blind IDML exporter - works on Windows only

http://kasyan.ho.ua/indesign/all/blind_open_and_idml-export.html

If none of the things work in the below link - there is an email at the bottom of the page

Hi there,

Sorry about the crashing! I know that's really frustrating. I would like to know if the steps suggested above worked for you?

If not, you may try the following steps and share your observations with us:

  • Rename CEP folder from following locations.
    MAC: /Library/Application Support/Adobe  to CEP.old
    Windows: C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Adobe\CEP

  • If that doesn't help, rename extensions folder from
    MAC: /Library/Application Support/Adobe/UXP to extensions.old
    Windows: C:\Program Files\Common Files\Adobe\UXP

While performing each step, please make sure that all Adobe apps are closed. Feel free to let us know if you still need assistance. We'd be happy to help.

Regards,

Srishti
