Hallo Eugene

i have created another account. Big Sur isn't the problem. Cmd+N and Cmd+O work well!

in the original Account:

to reset preferente pressing shift+controle+option+command didn't work

These steps solved the problem:

logged out

deleted preferences by hand (folder)

Starter InDesign and logged in

Indesign rebuild automaticly

problemen solved

thanx to all for helping

kind regards

Marc

I'd like to help you, but I can't seem to find the download link for 16.3.  😞

If I can get my hands on it, I'll try to respond.

16.3 is a rolling update. Only certain countries are receiving it now. It's not available in the US, so I can't help, sorry.

Most of the time resetting your indesign preferences fixes most issues like this.

While launching indesign

(Mac OS) While pressing Shift+Option+Command+Control, start InDesign. Click Yes when asked if you want to delete preference files.

It also could be a shortcut conflict.

Resetting preferences or clean install, both doesn't resolve the problem.

Its not a shortcut conflict either...

(maybe the combination of big sur and adobe is the problem?)

If it was the forum would be flooded.

Can you create a new account on your Mac and login there and see if the problem persists.

It's only a troubleshooting step.
